American Antique painted cupboard
This step back cupboard is from Northern New England, Vermont or New Hampshire. The molding dresses up this primitive piece to a new level. The red paint is original to this piece. The blue green paint was added in the mid 1800’s. The compartment inside door has a minty sky blue wash with original brass knob hardware. The interior compartment has a natural untouched patina. The cupboard is made of solid pine construction. This cupboard would look great in an entry, kitchen or dining room. The condition is very good for a 230 year old piece. The size of the cupboard is 37″w * 19″d *78″h.
