Who shops at Fairfield County Antique & Design?

The design center is open to the general public. We’re a destination for interior designers, architects, movie and TV production set designers. Come and shop. No delays.

What are you buying?

You’re purchasing antique and vintage items. Many of these items come from our finds while traveling, family, estate sales and auctions. The items will show wear from their past use and to be expected. We are not able to offer any warranty. We do not intentionally misrepresent any items. About the rugs

Our rugs are vintage and will vary with color, thickness, and size. The rugs range in age from 40 to 100 years or more. These colorful rugs are clean from smoke free environments. We work on acquiring rugs that are in very good condition with light wear from use. The great thing about purchasing one of these rugs is your buying a one of kind handmade piece. The rugs are wool and dyed by the hands of weavers who have the patterns in their minds eye. Many rugs have symbols and motifs relating to protection, marriage, fertility and life. They add art and color to your floors adding to your overall home design decor. These rugs are photographed indoors on wood floors. Enjoy these rugs and give to the next generation. These are meant to last and be used.

Payments

Payments can be made using Pay Pal and clicking on the links provided with item.

I don’t see a cart option to buy

The website will include items which are purchase and pick up only at the design center. These items include to large, heavy or easily breakable. This will be noted in the description and will not have a payment link.

When will I receive my items?

Once you made an on line purchase it takes us about 5 to 7 days to drop off items at the USPS, UPS or Fed-ex. We will send you a confirmation that your order was received. Once your purchase has been shipped you will be sent a tracking number. Make sure your contact information is correct. Please note shipping services has experienced bottlenecks and delays. We hope this gets resolved so please hang in there. I want you to get your items too!

Where do we ship?

Currently just to the lower 48 states. We do not ship internationally.

Pick up at design center

Not all items on my website can be bought on line and shipped. If the item is to large, fragile or easily breakable you can purchase and pick up at the design center during business hours Monday – Sunday 10:30 am – 5:30 pm (closed on some holidays).

We do not hold any items If you like it buy it.

Signature for shipping?

We will require a signature on some higher ticketed items (anything above $250.00). We will let you know when we confirm the sale with you a signature for delivery is required.

Do we charge for shipping?

We will charge shipping on some items and include shipping on other items. We like to use recycled bubble wrap, paper, newspaper and boxes when available.

Items on website

We have items for purchase via on line cart and shipped. We will also include items which need to be purchased and picked up at the design center. Pick ups items from the design center will not have a payment link on line. We also use Instagram when introducing new items so be on the look out.

Trade

We love working with the Trade. Trade is defined as professional with credentials, ASID interior designers, certified architect, Movie or TV production designers. Your mother or her friend who does it as a hobby without credentials does not count.

Pricing we have

What we offer is nice quality items to our customers. Please be considerate if asking for a discount. Sourcing and bringing items to you takes effort and time.

Sales Tax

If shipping to a Connecticut address, Connecticut sales tax to be paid by the buyer.

Do you have returns?

All sold items on line or from the design center are final sales. We do not offer returns, exchanges or refunds. We try our best to provide as many details as possible with descriptions, photos, condition, material and measurements. As mentioned previously, we don’t offer any warranty. Item damaged?

If you receive your treasure and it’s damaged please email us within 7 days after receiving. We will ask for photo’s of the box and the damage of the item. We will also request you to hold on to the box, packaging an item so this can get resolved. Email us at mwrightvintage@gmail.com

Order cancellation

Reminder of shipping: Once you made an on line purchase it takes us about 5 to 7 days to drop off items at the USPS, UPS or Fed-ex. We will send you a confirmation that your order was received. Once your purchase has been shipped you will be sent a tracking number. If you need to cancel your order, cancel prior to shipping by notifying us 2 to 4 days prior to shipping out.

Once your item has been shipped, we will not be able to cancel or recall your order from the shipper. You will own it.

Do we rent or consign?

Currently we don’t offer rentals or consign items.
