Mid Century Modern Pottery

West German pottery in the 60’s was known as souvenir pottery, with gaudy red and brown clumpy glazes.  The top quality and design pottery was not exported out of Germany.   U.S. service men stationed in Germany in the 1960’s, were able to obtain top design West German pottery.   I offer the best of the best these American veterans brought back to the U.S.  This pottery is an undiscovered treasure, and will become very expensive to buy in the future. These pieces have presences and texture.  Thrown on a wheel and formed, molded, incised and painted by gifted artists.  This piece is by Foreign, circa 1960.  Condition is excellent.  The size is 15″h * 8″d, Inventory #WG1 $395.00, booth MLW in FCDC.
