French Antique Hotte Baskets with Rope Straps are for sale in the shop. These baskets were handmade by a skilled basket maker in the early 1900’s. The high back design was a regional form from Auvergne and the Pyrenees low lands. The sturdy construction of these Hotte baskets allowed farmers to carry hay, grapes, firewood, and other crops.
