Vintage Soumak colorful wool kilm rug. Made by Tribal and Nomadic tribesman in the Afghan Plain bordering Iran. The main center comprises of S curves and triangular row which represent water. The motifs and symbolism are about life and protection. This flat weaved rug is about 50 years old, clean and smoke free.
